The Telegraph Machine is a versatile and interactive prop designed to add an element of mystery, challenge, and historical intrigue to any escape room experience. WHAT'S IN THE BOX 1 x Controller (with Speaker) 1 x Telegraph Machine 1 x 12V Power Adapter 1 x USB Cable 1 x User Manual CONNECT WITH 12V EM LOCK The red wire of the EM lock (12V Positive) should be connected with the red line of the controller. And the black wire of the EM lock (12V Positive) should connect with the black line of the controller. WARM TIPS: Props do NOT include EM locks, please provide 12v EM lock by yourself. HOW TO PLAY There are 2 play modes: Short-tap only mode or Short-tap and long-tap mode. You can adjust these settings via the Dip Switches as needed to support your puzzle. Short-tap only Mode Players need to short-tap the telegraph machine with the correct rhythm. If the short-tap rhythm is correct, the EM lock will open. Short-tap and long-tap Mode Players need to tap the telegraph machine with the correct short-tap or long-tap rhythm. The rhythm of tapping the telegraph machine is similar to inputting Morse code. If the rhythm is correct, the EM lock will open. MODIFY THE TRIGGER PASSWORD 1. Power off the controller. 2. While holding the configuration button(Next to the power port), apply power to the device. Release the button after you hear the voice prompt. 3. When it is short-tap only mode, please short-tap the desired rhythm. For example, rhythm code is 2(taps)-1. After first 2 consecutive short-taps, there could be a short pause less than 5 seconds, then tap 1 time. 4. When it is short-tap and long-tap mode, please short-tap or long-tap the telegraph machine. Notice: No matter which playing mode the device is in, the pause between 2 rhythmic tapping must be less than 5 seconds, otherwise a new rhythm starts and any previous taps will be ignored. 5. Press the settings button again or wait 10 seconds with no taps to save the rhythm. The controller will replay the saved rhythm. If it is incorrect, start at step 1 to re-enter your rhythm. 6. The controller will reboot automatically. MODIFY THE VOICE FILES 1. Insert the USB cable to the controller and connect the controller to your PC. 2. Open the removable disk shown on your PC file explorer, backup all the original files to another folder before making changes. 3. Replace the original file with your favorite sound file. Be sure to keep the same file names and locations or the device will ignore them. All files must be in MP3 format. 4. If you want to re-format the drive, please use FAT format only. Other formats such FAT32, exFAT or NTFS are not supported.
